Bangalore, August 12: The CBSE Board of Secondary Education has raised the CBSE board exam fee, which is causing concern among students of CBSE 10th and 12th. According to the increased fees, a candidate in the SC / ST category will have to pay up to 24 times more than they paid up to last year; The General Category candidate pays twice the amount.
SC/ST Candidates will now have to pay a CBSE Exam Board fee of Rs. 1200, while Rs. 50 have been paying till last year. General Candidates have to pay a CBSE board fee Rs. 1500 to the double amount from now onwards till last year Rs. 750 have been paying.
The students appearing for Class 10 Board exams need to register and pay the fees in Class 9th, while those who are in Class 11th, register and pay the CBSE Board exam fees for Class 12th.
CBSE has asked the schools to collect the revised amount as the schools have already started the registration process and exam fee has been charged as per old structure.
The increased fee is applicable for both CBSE Board examinations of Class 10th and 12th.
For appearing in five subjects SC/ST Candidate will now be paying as much as 24 times that Rs. 50 i.e. Rs. 1200. This means those who have paid CBSE Class 10th/12th registration and CBSE Board exam fees will now be paid an extra of 1150 rupees.
Class 12 Students who have an opt additional subject will have to pay Rs. 300. While the SC/ST category did not pay any fees till last year for the additional subject, the General Category candidates would have to pay Rs 150 for the same.
Additionally, the migration fees also have been increased to Rs 350 from Rs 150, earlier.
The CBSE Board abroad school students will have to pay Rs 10000 for appearing in five subjects for both Class 10 and 12 examinations. Earlier, they had to pay Rs. 5000, while for an additional subject of Class 12th, they will be paying Rs 2000, a double amount against Rs 1000, earlier.
